MOT standards in France
So i have decided, after being saddled with the wife's car for the last month, that its time to sell her POS X5.

Not only does it go through a set of back tyres every 6 months, its its had more hits than Rocky, the wheels are kerbed to death and my old man had wrong fueled it 3 times which is just a disaster waiting to happen.

So along to the Contrôlé Technique today (French MOT station) after speking to my local mechanic about getting it ready for sale. Had been warned about needing 4 tyres, brakes and to replace the handbrake shoes after they disintegrated last week.

It has air bag suspension in the back thats failed because the wife emptied water all over the electrics.

Current warning lights are 'Self Level Susp Inactiv' 'Check Brake Linings' 'Handbrake warning light illuminated'
Handbrake doesnt do anything at all
Back tyres are bald, past the wear indicator. Fronts are worn smooth on the outer edges (caused by me on the mountain roads!)

Pick the car back up after half an hour.

Passed....... Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

1 advisory of rear passenger side bushes are a bit cracked but no movement in the arms.

Rolling Eyes sounds about right. Remember not to clean it before selling it and include a picture of a random toilet in the advert. Cool

No worries on the cleaning front. Wife is French and she has the national pride to never wash it. The excuse being that nobody will park too close and risk rubbing dirt on their clothes.

Doesn't seem to stop her smacking the bloody thing off everything she can find.
