I don't think so. From memory, the nose of a Salisbury diff is longer than a Rover one, so you'll need a new prop shaft. Also, I don't think a Discovery axle is rated for the rear of a 110. The spring seats are different too, as 110 rear springs are bigger than 90's and Discoverys. Darren

Okay so would I need a set of springs from a newer 110? I believe these all came with a normal rover axle and 4 pin diff and a prop shaft from the same age of 110. My neighbours 110 and a friends an 2005 and 2007 both have the standard LR diff.

No, you need a 110 axle, which will be rated for the weight and by default will suit the correct springs that you'll already have. Later versions may well have a Rover diff, but you'll still need a different rear prop to make the swap from your existing Salisbury. Darren

I have done this but it is not to say it is right for everyone! Many people say the disco axle is not strong enough. However, the later 110 TD5s use the same axle casing as used on 90's and discos, albeit fitted with the short nose 4 pin diff as found in a P38 which is rated for the heavier payload of the 110. The spring seats on the axle are identical, just swap the bottom spring mounts over. Not sure if Salisbury brake calipers fit the later/disco type axles. 110 TD5 calipers certainly fit on a disco axle. When I did the axle swap fitted axle bracing like on Wolf spec axles and changed all the internals for an ARB locking diff and Ashcroft halfshafts, Due to the rover axle weing shorter in the nose than a Salisbury, I had to fit a propshaft from a Puma 110 plus a spacer. It has all been fine for the past 5 years

what do you mean complaining? is it shaking the car on pulling off and slowing down? my car has been shaking on take off (when warm) and now started shaking when slowing down! i though it was clutch problems. My 109 thread my youtube channel |

I think it was 25mm. There are hundreds to choose from on Ebay, just measure up yours when fitted and buy the size that fits best (making sure you still have enough movement in the sliding joint) |
