JE Engineering do an auto conversion which I seen to remember uses the Ranger autobox.
However they are asking nearly £9000 before vat! http://jemotorworks.co.uk/drivetrain/#drivetrain-defender |

No complaints about the six speed auto in my brand new 3.2 Ranger. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

I have the Ashcroft conversion in my late 2013 Defender 90. Any farther South and I'll need to trade the Defender in for a Landing Craft

Sure!
David Ashcoft of Ashcoft of Transmissions. Go to: Ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk They are based in the Luton area north of London. All the info is on the website including all of the costings. Prices are for supply of kit. Fitting and VAT is on top and cost for supply and fit is mentioned on the website. Fitting is quick. I left mine with David when I headed to Hong Kong for a week or so and it was sorted and ready to drive home on the day I arrived back in the UK. Fit and finish is tidy and professional. Back up service excellent. Since fitting Dave has talked me through some pressure setting adjustments on the Compushift control to smooth out some gear changes. It's driving very nicely and so much more relaxing than the six speed stick. I was out this evening driving back from Penzance and it struck me just how much better the whole driving experience is now compared to the manual box it came with. I will be heading to Morocco in October and I am looking forward to a relaxing, fun trip 👍 Any farther South and I'll need to trade the Defender in for a Landing Craft |

I also fitted and Ashcroft conversin on my 2.4 - BAS has provided a remap and it is very good and no more 4 changes to 30 and my wife's back is much better.
Good service, no leaks now 3000 miles in. But at 1.50 per mile plus vat so need to get a lot more miles on it. We drive in town a lot. On the motorway it is slower but still gets up to 85 mph limiter and after the transmission locks above 55 mph it is very quiet too. I will fit another to my next defender. Snowy |
