Pretty much what you pay for the car in the first place.
Its all up on the site. http://www.thewildcatgroup.com/v8conversion/ This is what LR should have produced as a proper farewell. |

^^^ Let's be honest Stiff1, if LR had, most wouldn't be working by now. At least with Wildcat, JE, Nene, Bowler, Twisted etc, you know you get proper engineering, build quality and most importantly reliability. Plus the exclusivity of the specific brand chosen. Monsieur Le Grenadier

MCMA, leading on from my reply to Stiff1, and given the list of modifiers I included, what made you choose Wildcat over any of the others? Monsieur Le Grenadier

I'm kinda guessing if a manual box is available (and I don't know if it is) it would be a wee bit cheaper? |

on the plus side I think MCMA has found a solution to this issue; http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50235.html Mr MCMA can I just add I'm also hugely envious - it does all look fantastic albeit I must add there's a few wee little things I'd have tried to do differently. this isn't to say I don't like what you've done it's just what I'd have tried to achieve (if possible) - retain manual gearbox / interior, retained original front end and exhaust outlet. think the only other thing I can add to what you've done is |

it mentions £28k on the Wildcat website so I presume that includes £10k for the first years insurance

Just a few things to confirm....
I did not pay 28k plus vat. Wildcat have done 50+ conversions Twisted have been trying the reverse engineer this for sometime, still have problems. It's so easier to price up and engine box etc but the shear amount of small little niggles that they have encountered and solved over the years is scary. 500 miles up and still perfect. Andy you're one lucky chappy
I reckon what you paid is your business and yours alone but I'd still like to know which cost the most - the conversation or the insurance really pleased to hear it's going well. |

How are the gear changes?
Can you flesh out the "self learning" aspect? |

I'm confused MCMA, are you not happy with it? Why do you keep stopping? I'd have driven to London, across to Brizzle And then back up to the ferry, in one hit. Get the 1000 under the belt ASAP and then open her up. And if you timed it right, you could arrive at the terminal with 1000 on the clock and then once checked in (and on private land) given her a thrashing around the port. All terminals have huge open areas and I'm sure every one of the other passengers and ferry staff would have loved to see you give it the beans. So, what's wrong? If you need help getting to 1000, you just PM me.... Monsieur Le Grenadier
