Springs/Shocks TD5 Pickup
Does anyone know if a pickup (04) comes with up HD springs/shocks?

I carry loads of logs in mine and get can't a bit of compression, I don't what to overload them so wondered if I should upgrade?

I would RTFM if I could find it, thanks in advance.

Depends if its a 90 or 110 and if it has HD kit from the factory or not and if its been altered since.

If its on your original suspension then if you tell me all the weights stamped on your vin plate (behind the brake servo in the engine bay) then i can tell you what you can carry.

If its a 110 pick up then you can carry a LOT of logs before your over weight.

Pete.

If its a 90 i would guess it has the 2400kg suspension rather than the heavy duty 2550kg kit.

If it is the normal 2400kg set up then the EEC kerb weight of a 90 pick up is 1770kg so that would allow you to carry a 630kg payload of logs in the rear which is a lot of logs unless your burning oak logs! lol. If you do have the 2550kg suspension then you can carry 780kg of logs. Remember this is with only yourself weighing 75kg and a full tank of fuel. If you have a winch, hardtop or anything else thats rather heavy then you need to deduct the weight of these from your payload.

Pete.
