Steering stiff on RH turn after steering box change.
As part of the rebuild on the 07 110, we replaced the steering box as the old one was leaking.

after getting the engine in and running we took a test drive, and into a RH turn the steering momentarily froze in one position, I was able to steer but it was quite alarming.

The box is a take off done 16K miles.

The MY 13 has a similar "flat" spot in the steering when stationary, and its like and old series 3, you can wiggle the steering wheel and there is "slack" but noticable when driving also on RH side.

When I discovered this I took it to the stealer, under waranty, they at first couldnt find a problem, but once I showed them they were unsure.

They had another 90 in and found exactly same on that so concluded that was normal.

Both er LHD.

Not sure what this is or what it requires to fix any suggestions. ??

I spent the day troubleshooting and its in the steering box, not sure if its an adjustment.

Sounds like its a job for an indie. "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild.

Have you checked that the clamp on the steering column shaft down to the box isn't catching on the turbo to intercooler hose? I had the same problem with not being able to turn right because of this.

Cheers,
