My Corris Grey 90
Its a long shot but has anyone seen my Defender driving around Barnet / Finchley, its Corris Grey with black Overfinch wheels + grille, + DRL's etc ???
It's been at Grange JLR for almost 2 weeks now to change 2 pieces of trim, stick some carpet down, look at my rattling rear door and sort a fault code which has had me call out LR Assistance twice, the full report from which was given to them when I dropped it off.
I'm assuming they've been driving it around the wilds of North London as they definitely haven't been working on it ???
They are absolutely useless and now tell me I "should have it back Thurs or Fri but i'm not holding my breath !!!!
Sorry, rant over !!!!!

Mark

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Get it sorted then change dealer!

Get a tracker fitted then you can see where it goes. Fascinating to see how often my wife gets lost since having a tracker! James

I sometimes record the mileage when it goes in.

Also leave my dash cam working, so far nor issues, even has the mechanic saying to the apprentice on the post service test drive what a nice 110 i had.. Very Happy

In your case i would walk in and ask for an update and eye-ball the service manager and if not happy demand to see the dealer principal

I spoke to the manager today, twice in fact and he has now taken personal responsibility for it.
They looked at the fault codes (5 times) and finally after telling me there weren't any and after I persisted they found them and they're now charging the high pressure fuel pump.
I chose Grange because when I was looking to buy my 90 someone on here put me on to Jeremy (now sales manager) who was a thoroughly nice fella and came recomended and although I didn't buy from him I judged the dealership on my experience with him.
How disappointingly wrong I was.
I could write a book about bad LR experiences as from day 1 when I went to pick mine up to today, my experience has been dogged by poor quality and poor service but being the eternal optimist. .............
I do however still enjoy my 90 and it does put a smile on my face when I drive it which is every day now as it's been my daily drive since March when my other car was stolen.

Grange Barnet...when mine went in for the first service (12k), instead of one day it took four days, it wasn't cleaned as shown on the invoice ('free valet' - so free you can't even notice it happened), the onboard computer was not reset so it was still showing the service is due, and they haven't changed the oil filter - I change oils and filters myself every 6k miles and I happen to mark them with permanent pen so I know. As for oil, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't changed it either as to me it looked identical to what it was prior to the service. But as I said, I don't trust them a bit so I still change the oils myself anyway. It's all just keeping the dealer happy and get warranty work done if needed. Once that is over, I will never step into an LR garage ever again. MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html

After hearing sweet F.A. since Tuesday when I spoke to the service manager I called on Saturday and he wasn't in so I called him at 3.30 today and evidently they always keep the customer fully informed and he can't understand why I haven't heard, repeatedly !!!!!
I've been assured he'll call me tomorrow and it should be ready as the delay is due to them not having the correct tools to do the injector pump.
Yes, that's Grange JLR, a main dealers at Barnet in North London, and they don't have all the right tools for the job !!!!
Unusually, I was lost for words !!!!

Mark.
