England 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Santorini Black
Non UK spec Heritage.
There are a few Heritage models for sale on the Web, and some of them are not UK spec. One that I have seen advertised was South African spec, which meant it had air conditioning, and a radio, and was also fitted with side steps.
My questions are,
Can you run a vehicle long term in the UK with Km s on the speedo?

Is there any difference in emissions control on a non UK spec Land Rover?

Not being one of the UK 400 allocated models will it be less desirable in a few years time?

Are there any issues with owning a vehicle that will be showing South Africa on the VIN plate?

Like most of us I would love to have a Heritage model, but would not want to buy the wrong thing.

Cheers Nick

I'll only answer the speedo question, and the answer is NO. Never mind long term, it wouldn't even get through the SVA or whatever the equivalent is nowadays. Stickers aren't acceptable either, the illumination has to shine through the speedo markings.

Namibia 2016 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 Heritage Edition SW Grasmere Green
ZA Edition..
The ZA edition does not have the rear high level brake light, no DPF and no switch to change headlight height. As stated it does have air conditioner and radio - which even may have been upgraded to the higher spec with subwoofer. I do believe that the Limited Editions did not sell as well as expected and that there may be some surplus for export to RHD countries.

It just isn't getting used 483 miles on the clock. Blocked in my garage with my new bathroom suite. Think I'd like somebody else to enjoy it. Know a few dealers who are interested if I pick up the phone 2015 90SW Heritage MY16, 2016 90SW XS MY16 (123rd b4 the last build) & RRS HSE MY15

Easy enough to add mph to the speedometer, either with an 5-alive decal or an oem one

You can run km oddometer instead of miles

Dpf.. Not sure
