"Re-blacking" Rear Section
Happy New Year to you all!

The black metal section at the rear of my Td5 (under the rear door, where the jacking points are) has started getting a bit rusty.

Any ideas on the best way of "re-blacking" this?

Thanks

That bit's called the crossmember.

Plasticote do some good paints which give a really nice finish. Try to ensure it is rust- free before painting. My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

Black Deproma Rustproof seems to work well too, and can be applied even if the crossmember's damp.
