[quote="X4SKP"]Over filling can be as bad as under filling or running on low oil, having lost (leaked) its correct quantity.

Drain Plug to Fill Plug = Correct Quantity Thumbs Up
The simple approach of removing the fill plug first (so you know you can refill it... Exclamation )
then removing the drain plug...and then filling up to the fill plug is a fairly full proof method and its a shame the Puma MT82 Gearbox doesn't follow this long established 'general' approach... Shocked

Too much oil can lead to excessive pressures within a gearbox, with overheating problems.

those that have had too much oil in the gearbox - once corrected did you notice any difference?

I'm going to be changing gearbox oil in the next few weeks, just out of interest, if I vac the oil out with my Pela, is it still 2.2 litres or would the vac take out more oil than using the drain plug alone?
