Insurance cost rise recently ?
Hi All

Just curious...just got a renewal for the landy, its substantially higher than last year, is anyone else finding that? This renewal is for £336 and was mid £200's i think last year, I have maximum no claims and live in a non alert area etc, what sort of prices are others seeing ATM? Its a 2008 90 CSW.

Might be Osbourne added tax on insurance that adds to it? I forget the name of it now.

Even at that, I'd count yourself lucky mine is over double your higher figure. Neutral âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸

Could just be down to your insurance company ripping you off by not offering you a 'new customer' price?

Always pays to shop around and see who is looking for new custom. That said, Defenders aren't becoming any less desirable to thieves or any easier to repair now they are out of production.

I think everything is on the up.

At work all our machine spares have gone up by 15% which is a hell of an increase.

All being blamed on "brexit" no doubt, but funny how when the pound was very strong and the dollar fell sharply we didn't all suddenly get much cheaper things.....

Wouldn't be surprised if lots of our insurance companies were biased in offshore countries dealing mostly in dollars..... Whistle Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197

Just as well he's on his bike then John. Laughing

Personally, I think the WHOLE insurance industry is a rip off, in what ever context it is.

Pet insurance even they'll do their upmost to wriggle out of, and pay out about 30% of the bill.

Money wasted to make others money for handling money for doing nothing... Evil or Very Mad âï¸âï¸God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 âï¸âï¸
