Old's Cool, my "new" 90
After waiting weeks for the DVLA to change from the private plates I've finally collected Old's Cool and the fun can begin. Very Happy

Cheers Chris.

Yeah, definitley never been a farm hack! 2.25 petrol, 2 lever arch files full with all original service history and only 64K on the clock Cool

Engine is sweet, gearbox/drivetrain is beter than any new land rover i've driven in years. so smooth.

Initial plans involve binning the snorkel and swapping some S3 door bottoms on while the original doors are repainted. A good polish up but not getting rid of the chips and dings and pop the roof off for the remainder of the summer!!!

Wheels/tyres are probably going on my s3 to be replace with 255/85R16 on immaculate (or will be) limestone 1 ton rims.

The future will involve a period looking limestone-ish soft top He who dies with the most toys...wins!

Some time in the distant future i see a replacement chassis (just had some welding done) and bulkhead but i'm determined to keep her looking "worn" He who dies with the most toys...wins!

Very nice, like the sound of the plans for it Thumbs Up
Only thing i wouldn't do is paint the cappings, especially black, think it will spoil it. Although thats just my personal opinion Defender puma dormobile camper

Nooooooooooo

The galv is staying as is. I love it.

Its the black rock slider/sills that i'm taking off to be galvanized and unsure whether to repaint.

I'm glad you're liking it Tom, I may have had a spot or two of inspiration from your 90 Whistle He who dies with the most toys...wins!

Thats a relief Laughing Id get them re galvanized if i were you then as if you do change the chassis you can get a nice theme going.
Glad to hear, Ill be sure to keep watching the progress. Reckon it will look a lovely classic when its done, looks a similar starting point to my first land rover (although that was an old series 3) Very Happy Defender puma dormobile camper

Looks so lovely, and so "Classic Land Rover". If you had to sum up iconic Land Rovers in one picture, it'd be one of the above! It's just so honest!
