Anyone want to start a convoy from the frozen North???

I'm just working out my logistics, thinking about leaving straight from work on the Friday. No chance I'll make it for close of campsite, heh heh. It'll probably be snowing north of the border too.

I haven't been to a show since I was a kid in the 90's, are the trade stands/ deals worth it?

I'd never been and am a recent convert and am going for the 3rd year running this year.
I used to go to Billing but it became too B'ling and so haven't bothered for a few years.
I've found Peterborough to be a good varied mix with some 2nd hand stuff and lots of new plus the club stands and demo's and all the people I dealt with have alwaysbeen very friendly.
The first year I went I was in the process of ordering a new 90 and last year was to buy some bits for it so this year I pretty much have all I want so this year I won't be on a mission and can browse at my leisure.
I got some excellent deals on Bits I wanted ; Momo wheel, boss, led lamps, pedal lock to name but a few
A day does me as I don't fancy camping but there's definitely enough to last 2 days and it gives you more time to chat etc
Good luck with your drive Leaky and having driven from Essex to Loch Lomond via an overnight stop in a lovely manor house nr Newcastle I can say that it's a bloody long way in a Defender, even a new one !!!!
Its not far for me but i'll probably borrow something from work, possibly a Transit incase I grab a (few) bargain/s.

Mark

Seriously, there are loads of stands and don't forget to visit the site sponsors. A lot of them will have a presence there.

We will be there on stand J14 and there is usually tea and coffee on the go. The only charge is you might have to make one for the staff. There is a chance of cake but I am not making promises on that front as it depends on how Brendan is getting on with his knee.

Another con is that you have to pay £90 to pay for a tent for 3 days even if you only want 1 night - not good Crying or Very sad

I booked on line yesterday, I booked a camping pitch for one adult and vehicle for the weekend and an additional adult weekend ticket @ £35, when I printed the email I got the first ticket though instead of the additional adult ticket I got a one day family ticket @£35. When I contacted them they have refused to change the family ticket even though it is the same price so be careful. After charges there is no saving on line as they charged me £5.53 booking fee so would be cheaper to paying on gate.

Advantage of pre-booking is you get through the entrance queue a bit quicker.

I recieved an unexspected email today from Ticketscript regarding the wrongly received tickets, stating purchase two new additional tickets and they will cancel the previous two tickets purchased, (which printed wrongly) and they will reimburse the original payment. I did (aprehesively) and true to their word or email, 15mins later I recieved a full refund for the original tickets purchased. Thumbs Up

Faith restored we are packed and on our way early in the morning Very Happy

We have found over the years that the trade and club stands make it worth going to the LRO Peterborough show, we are all going down on the Saturday morning, added bonus we only live around 30 minutes from the showground Very Happy
