Puma Headlining 90
Ciao,

I am trying to fit some sound insulation sheets to the inside of the roof. I carefully took all the clips out of the rear headlining but I can't get it down without fear of it snapping...?

Can anyone give me a tip or 2?

Does the front headlining section have to come out as well? If this is the case I am a bit stuck as the lower 2 screws on the rear view mirror bracket just spin and won't come out.... Sad

Thanks for your answers as always.

Yan

Yan, I insulated mine and it was well worth the effort.
I started by removing the grab handles over the rear door, then prize off the narrow vertical panel above the door, the large central panel is now a bit loose. Prize the fir tree plugs off the join to the front.
Get some proper tools, look up trim removal tools on eBay. It is worth getting the metal ones and not the cheap plastic, the are s##t!!.
Wiggle out the central panel, it's more robust than you think and you do have to twist it out. I did it on my own but it is a faff. Get help from a friend.
To get the front out, take off the sun visors and then the mirror mount. You can then remove the fur tree clips at the side and hay pesto the front comes out.
Buy new fir tree clips for the reinstall as they do not work very well a second time.
Make the effort to get to the front. It is the noise from wind on the top corner above your head that is the loudest so persevere, it is worth the effort.
Cheers
Douglas
