2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Java Black
Switch Indentity near sump
Found what looks like a switch with a green plastic shroud/connector just above the sump on the offside of the engine without anything connected to it.

Any ideas what it is please? And should there be a wire attached?

Many thanks

Mark

Anyone have any ideas? It's a 2007 2.4 TDCi if that helps.

Many thanks

Having searched here this maybe the oil pressure switch but it doesn't have anything connected to it?? There's what looks like a harness folded back on itself up the exhaust manifold.

Can anyone advise?

If you post a picture it might help identify the offending connector Thumbs Up

It is unused on the Landrover installations of the Ford TDCi engines (possibly used on Ford or other makes though). I *think* it may be connected with oil level monitoring on vehicles so fitted.

It should have nothing connected to it on a Defender.
