This helps, from what I read the glow plugs would continue to be powered with only battery power if main fuse blown.
Brown green and orange continue to have 12VDC. So could run with push start. Trying to figure why alternator did not keep charge to battery... 2013 110 - Keswick Green 1995 ExRAF 110 Utility 1986 127 HCPU 1985 110 PU 2012 Disco4 Last edited by KGH on 6th Aug 2016 2:21pm. Edited 1 time in total |

ECU prob saw error and somehow alt did not charge battery. Hence cascading failure...AC, then # amigos, then check engine, then no gauge function, then dead. 2013 110 - Keswick Green

It seems more and more like the garage guys tried to jump, could not locate battery, and somehow shorted to ground and popped that big ass fuse. 2013 110 - Keswick Green

This helps.
Again, can see where truck MAYBE would run (push start) depending on what else is happening with ECU. 2013 110 - Keswick Green 1995 ExRAF 110 Utility 1986 127 HCPU 1985 110 PU 2012 Disco4 |

Diesels will run without battery as they are not sparked ignition. Everything else you will lose. Not sure how the ecu figures into the overall scheme of things but basically as long as a diesel engine receives fuel it does not need any electrics to keep it going. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Alternator might be dead so not charging hence flat battery and the jump start probably popped the fuse. Ray

If they have mechanically controlled injection and fuel pumps, however the 2.2 has an electric lift pump and electronically controlled injection so I don't think it would run with no battery? |
