Perhaps dynamite is a little too drastic

None! Gets wet and absorbs water! I'm seriously thinking about gradually removing the carpeted bits from mine.

I'm still using carpet. A lot of people here are spraying in rhino liner...
Can't quite bring myself to commit to something that drastic. 1999 Defender 110 2003 P38 2007 RR SC "And that's why it needs to be celebrated, because when the Defender goes we'll have lost this pointer to where we came from, and we're really going to miss it." eugh, carpet. We have it in the farm one for some reason that I can't work out. It's horrible.
Mine just has rubber matting, and that's better but still not perfect because it still gets damp underneath. |

When I was looking to buy my latest Defender there were two I was interested in, a 90 County with carpets and a 90 basic SW with no carpets. The carpets in the County were wet through due to ingress of water, so that put me off completely.

KM, can't remember who, but someone on this forum was soundproofing their SW and then had sourced a roll of carpet on-line that they were cutting to fit. A fairly recent post (within the last month), sure you'll be able to find it. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Carpet will be soaked and get melded soon
So why don't you just get some rubber sheets? Perhaps with chequer plate marks on them |
