Get the rear diff replaced a.s.a.p. I am on diff # 7 already and only 30K on the clock. The problem I am having is becasue my car is more than 1 year old and has more than 20K, LRSA will not replace it with a new diff and keep on replacing it with a recon ones! I only found this out after diff # 7, now I am fighting this and want a new one!

Same problem my 110 my09 with 50k km on the clock....
They have changed twice the rear diff with a recon, after I complained with the LR costumer service, LR sent a flying doctor to the service garage where my 110 was, he spent a day (together with two others mechanicals....) to dismantle and overhaul the 2nd diff changed, things were better but it still made noise, therefore the flying doctor allow LR to send a NEW rear diff.

Now it's ok, but they took 1 month and a half to solve the problem... Rolling Eyes Matteo

ok......

all sorted......by me. I tried the tranmistion wind down - low range reverse, snake stearing....and violaa- fixed. Then layter I low ranged again and the noise came back.....#@#$#$#@. Then I tried to unwound transmition with no luck. Later I was at a trafic light and it jumped out of high into neutral all by itself. Back in, noise still there. Later back into low - back into high. Then I coasted slowly faward putting pressure on the lever and it "clicked in" just that little bit more. Noise gone!!!! Then I started figuring that perhaps the tarnmision wasn't in gear all that well. It will drive, but with a noise.....

Later a friend informed me that you should keep in gear (h-l) neutral, then rev a bit and then angage between (l-H.
