Italian lake trip planning, advice sought..
So, lucky enough to be down in saint gervais les bains in the summer in the 130, going to take my 14 year old son with us, and he’d love to get over to Italy..
We’re only 4 hours from the Italian lakes so would love to head there, does anyone have any must see parts/ camp spots for us to explore? We’re fully set up so don’t need much- my lad loves the water and we’ll have our inflatable kayak and bikes…

Many thanks in advance..

I was in the Italian lakes last September,en route to Croatia.Everywhere is stunningly beautiful.....BUT,very expensive.
The campsites on the shoreq of Como,(we stayed on 2)were a bit grotty,& as already said very expensive, but hey-ho that view comes with a premium price.

Enjoy.
Marc.

Yep priciness already factored in, we stay for ‘free’ in st gervais so don’t mind blowing a bit on trips out, if we’re feeling really flush we venture into Switzerland..! Let me know if there were any non grotty sites you stayed at…
Cheers

Few years ago now but we stayed in Torbole on the edge of Lake Garda. Place is now called Camper stop torbole.
Good watersports, I was windsurfing.
There is also an amazing road on the western side of the lake that is now closed to traffic but open for bikes and pedestrians. A classic Italian lake road with rock tunnels etc.
Not sure of you still can but you could take bikes on the cable car up Monte Baldo on the Eastern side and then cycle down. That was great

On our way to Sardinia we stayed at La Tesa, above Lago d'Iseo: http://www.latesa.it
Apart from their adequate fleet Smile , they have a good restaurant on site.

Just around the corner lives Lorenzo, a Defender enthusiast with a youtube channel. We were about to meet, but unfortunately missed each other by a day or so. If you're interested I could PM you his email address. Strangely I can't find his channel anymore right now.
Edit: found Lorenzo's channel: Defender Gitane
