Since getting the engine professionally tuned, progress on Mihaela has been somewhat uneventful. Due to a gearbox failure I had to buy another LT85 and get it fitted which has cost me an arm and a leg. I decided that getting a Front runner bullbar was too frustrating because no one would import one for me to be used in the UK. On top of that I found a Camel trophy bullbar for sale and thought to myself I have to get it..

I'm just waiting to hear back from Mantec about one of their Camel trophy winch bumpers and they will be fitted. Cool

That means my current bullbar and military bumper will have to go if anyone is looking for a wrap around bullbar Whistle

Right, time for a little update. Last month I bought a Camel Trophy bullbar and a winch bumper to replace my wrap around bull bar.

The bull bar came with a pair of Hella Comet 450 spotlights, any purist (like me) knows that the Camel Trophy Defender used Hella Comet 550 spot lights on the bull bar though. I had to get the correct spot lights, not only to fit the Camel Trophy spec but because the 450's looked a bit out of proportion as well.

When put next to each other, you can appreciate how much bigger the 550 is over the 450.

The Comet 450's are for sale if anyone needs some spots Whistle 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Thanks Clayton!

When looking at pictures of expedition prepped Land Rovers like I do in my spare time I came across this picture, it made me go for a Camel Trophy look instead of the South African look.

I like the new bull bar, it made me dig an old photograph out (pre digital) of one of my old 110's... I loved the colour, are you committing and getting yours painted? Thumbs Up
Poor quality photo of a photo!

Nice 110, is it ex mod? Nah, I'll leave mine white. Took me ages to find a white 90's era CSW, I was just thinking all the camel trophy mods on a normal civilian station wagon would look pretty cool Thumbs Up 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon
