I have just had an email in from one of my Euro hauliers;
Following an Interview conducted by the Nord Littoral newspaper with the FNTR’s general secretary for the Nord Pas de Calais region, Sébastien Rivera, we would like to inform you that the French haulage firms affiliated to the country’s leading trade federation, FNTR, are planning to block traffic around Calais on the 5th September 2016.
According to Sébastien Rivera this is in protest against what is claimed to be an upsurge in attacks on truck drivers and their vehicles over the past few weeks.
Just a heads up to anyone heading out there.
