Being no longer possessed of a defender with its windscreen so close as to be a pair of spectacles and instead having the Jimny and the Jeep both with curvy dashboard tops and screens in the next county I am looking for a good strong rigid long arm phone holder that will rotate for either landscape or portrait, doesn't squeat or rattle or vibrate when the car is moving. What is there and where is a good place to buy? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Ah yes I remember these from my past as a stereo installer. I seem to remember that these fasten to the actual dash not the screen which in effect doubles my cost as I would need one per car and the phone clamps never took account of having a case on the phone which I do. Thanks for the advice but I think I will keep with a screen mount as it is transferable between cars. Thanks though. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Youre right, the mounts are made specifcally for the car, but you can get a quick release for the phone holder so you can move the holder between mounts & therefore cars.
http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=2130...mp;model=, They also do a universal mount which can be adjusted for phones with cases. http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=511230 cheers simon |
