Hi Guys,
Just got home after a wonderful day out with Miss Shaggydog in Groombridge and Eridge and Tunbridge Wells! The Groombridge Land Rover event was great with some really nice trucks emerging from hidden away places. Great pics Shaggy,...looks like a "traditional" Landrover setting.
Always loved Traction Engines & "Steam" Rollers,....I can remember them being used on roadworks when we lived in Vowchurch, a LLOONNGG time ago. Pickles. |

Indeed it is Phil
It was a fantastic day out! I have a very special connection with this railway as I joined as a volunteer when I was only 12 and worked my way up learning all my engineering and technical skills the hard and heavy way. I know more about steam engine maintenance then I do Land Rovers but to be honest 75% is transferable skills! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Going back this weekend has fired me on to get back into it. Steam is like Land rovers, Once it gets in your blood it calls you back Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |
