Thought this was a quick release Startech for sale, got all excited
Will watch with interest though. I had the FCX quick release on my shopping list as it was very slimline, but no long available James MY2012 110 2.2TDCi XS SW Orkney Grey - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic43410.html MY1990 110 200TDi SW beautifully faded Portofino Red - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post743641.html#743641 MY1984 90 V8 Slate Grey - https://www.defender2.net/forum/post744557.html#744557 Instagram @suffolk_rovers |

Not a help but just some feedback.
I have a startech with quick release from FCX However changed vehicles so needed a 48 spline boss with holes for the indicator cancel & FCX no longer supplied - Went for RDX boss as suggested by FCX To be honest the RDX boss is deeper than the FCX boss so am unsure if I'm keeping the quick release part as it just brings it that much more forward - Will advise if I'm going to sell So I have a 48 spline FCX leather covered boss for the Startech you can have for the postage cost plus a donation to Def2 site. I had shortened the indicator cancel spikes so you might need to replace with longer ones, subject of course to it not being the new boss that needs indicator cancel holes in the boss. This is the end Click image to enlarge This is new style needs holes in the boss Click image to enlarge Hope that helps 2020 P300 HSE |

Thanks for info and the kind offer PJB, I need one with the self cancelling holes on the underside as it;s for a 16 MY vehicle.
Is there really not another manufacturer out there for the boss and quick release mechanism? |

Hi PJB,
Further to your post and JBK reply. I must admit i get a little confused when it comes to bosses and the quick release bits. So not sure what it is that your offering exactly? I have a 2012 2.2 tdci and believe I need the 48 spline boss? If you were therefore offering this boss, with or without the quick release mechanism I would be interested. Thank you. Hi James,
Yes offering just the boss as in my picture 1 - its sat on mt seat so looks a bit strange - Will take a proper photo of it tonight. The quick release bit is a bit that bolts onto the boss, and a bit that bolts onto the steerring wheel that then fit together & have a release mechanism. Cheers Paul 2020 P300 HSE |

Just bought these two on a bit of a punt, some machining work will have to be done no doubt, but we'll see how easy it is:
