110 rear springs specifications
Hi there!

Just one question.

Checking with a friend the rear springs of ours 110 SW, we notice that the specifications given by the manual were not according with the reality. Manual said NRC 6904 Red/green for 110 (3050kg) and NRC 7000 Green/white for 110 Levelled (2950 Kg)

In fact, when we ask to GTR Customer service they answer:

"the rear springs on 07MY 110 SW 7 seat derivative is as follows: Both sides (Driver and Passenger): RKB500300 colour coded White/Green/Green"

But they dont give me the specification of the spring (lb/in) for this colour code

Somebody have it?

Thanks in advance Eduardo

If I remember I'll look under the back of my 08 110 SW 7 and see what we get in Australia. I'm about to put heavier ones in the front as it dropped about 15mm and it handles a bit worse since putting an ARB bar and 9.5t Warn winch on the front.

Are you thinking of change the rears over? What ever mine are they handle very well even with a load in the back and 1.5t trailer behind. 110 2.4TDCi

dm-Td5.

No, I don't have the intention to modify the springs (at least in the medium term). Mainly is because this appear to be stiffer than the TD5 ones. Probably in the next future when we put the winch we will change the front ones as you.

The 9.5ti on my 90 didnt drop the front and hasnt impacted handling.

The tent did a lot on handling and a little on ride height.

The handbook lists the different rates eg HD and Std for the models - but i cant help further...does parts help. Mike

As I suspect, not the winch so much as the ARB bar adding to the weight. I would estimate I've added almost 100kg's to the front of the vehicle - and that's after I installed synthetic rope and an alloy hause in place of the chunk of steel Warn call a fairlead 110 2.4TDCi

More than likely.

Ill get a synthetic rope in the future - but there arent many that will work on that winch - other things first. Mike

I have one of those ARB beasts up front and they are seriously heavy. When I fitted it, it made the front more wallowy and the ride was harsher and it dropped a fair bit. They are seriously heavy, but I had some idiot drive in to the front of me in a twin-rear axel flatbed lorry and all it did was put a dent in it that was barely noticable, so it just got a quick touch up paint and as good as new!!! They are awesome. Just wish it did not cut down my approach angle as much. I switched to LR genuine springs and got heavy duty ones and they sorted it nicely. They are only about £70 a pair and I think the colour coding is white:white. I know a few people who change the shockc, but much prefer original springs to aftermarket ones. Well, as long as you dont need a lift!!! Having said that, after fitting my springs, it levelled out beautifully to sit level with the rear. I run a double cab with 1 ton rear springs, so it REALLY solved the problem.
