Da4587
I bought a set of Britparts DA4587 recovery boards a few weeks ago to carry in the motorhome as we got stuck on a site over the easter holiday. I could tell that Marilyn thought that they were a waste of money but she quickly changed her mind yesterday when we got bogged again in a field that was being used as a car park and temporary campsite for an event at a pub iust outside Chesterfield.
With the help of four other people the maxtrax copies and a few choice words we had the motorhome in a position where we were happy enough to stay. I had to shift them and some other boards about 14 times this morning to get out of the field, I'm so chuffed with the boards that another set will be ordered this week.
As it was just for one night I only took one change of clothes, big mistake as I fell down in the mud and got caked up and then getting of site got covered in mud again I had to come home in what I had on.

Ummmm. A suggestion for you.... Buy some snow chains! They work really well in mud. A bit messy in the end though. V8 90...WIP

Not to mention that with snow chains on mud you are likely to have an upset landowner. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

You saw the state of the ground yes? Put snow chains on before your dug into a hole and you'll find that you can drive slowly out without spinning wheels and chewing the ground up further. I know this from experience. Of course, you don't have to use them and and if you know best, do as you wish. V8 90...WIP
