It occurred to me that there could be someone on here that's a genius on heating systems. In particular I am looking at a thermal store for my heating and hot water.
I want to feed it from a PV system and 2 back boiler log burners. House is pretty big at 400m2 on 3 floors and heating will be through radiators because the existing structure won't lend itself to underfloor. I'd like to add a driveway heating system in a separate zone too. Any advice would be great. |

Thats very similar to the ones i have looked at. I just need to find an actual person that knows how to fit this type of system in France.
After several discussions its very apparent that nobody nearby knows about them |

As you are in France contact Pignon Gascon in Gers he does a lot of conversions into old places, air inverters ect ect, knows his stuff. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

While I was working with my friend at Pignon Gascon a couple of years ago we visited his local builder's merchants (makes B&Q or Jewsons look like a corner shop) and they had on display a set up that had the collector thermal pipes tied to rebar in the footings of the building and the output heating pipes in mats in the walls. I know this is not what you are specifically after but the French are just miles / kms ahead of us in green energy. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

I've seen those before.
You can't drive more than a mile without seeing a merchants of some kind. Your friends company is nearly 4 hours away but might give them a call. I know the specs and outputs needed for everything, have the system fairly well worked out but its the runs and installation I really want an experienced person for. My plumber wants to "have a go" which scares me. It's going to be a show system for potential clients so needs to be a tidy install. |

If he has not done one before would be best to be overseen by a competent person.

Just need to find a specialist but the search continues.
My plumber is good but doesn't comprehend heat loss on runs and efficient installs. He can do wiped joints with the best though! |

We've just had our Plumber in France quote for fitting the following boiler including a 3000 litre heat store for the heating and a 500 litre one for the Hot water.
This is up in the Dordogne http://www.hargassner.uk.com/our-products/...20kw-60kw/ |
