You opted out and bilateral contracts gonna replace your EU membership status.

From integrated EU-Player to associate EU-Follower Cow

Rich countries like Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway are associates, too. For good reason.

None of them has low emission standards, while the EU has to keep up with poor EU members, too.

Hence emission standards inside the EU cannot be as high as in rich countries ...

The Defender will never return.

Facebook full of this same post everyday. Silly.

JLR finished making the defender mainly due to its expensive, largely manual factory line. It doesn't sell for much and they don't sell enough of them. Simple arithmetic.

It was a business decision, not related to EU. TD5 Defender 90

Well to be precise...Switzerland for a long time had even more strict emissions rules. Hence we hardly had any 200TDI's (I think around 6 200Tdi Defender) and could only make the last generation of 300TDI's pass the testing after modifications. What a major PITA. Sad m

As an ex northyorkshire man well done on your decision. The people have spoken and yes there will be winners and loosers! However all I have is respect, and not judgement as the ideologues within new countrymen. I thought the establishment would prevail, however in the end common sense did. I hope that this will increase the possibility of the new defender that we all want! Not that I will sell my current one! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

going back to EricVV's comments about abiding by EU law, I read Switzerland are going to be ex-communicated from the EU due to a migration referendum in 2014 that was to limit free movement ... it was in the telegraph so must be true !!

Not sure what is happening, not sure our politicians do either, but what is happening reminds me of these lyrics from the party song

In out, in out, shake it all about
You do the okey cokey an' you turn around, that's what it's all about Wink For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
