Another oil leak
This time coming from cylinder head, at rear of engine.
I Removed plastic cover, the one with the oil breather pipe coming out from the side.
Under the cover is a soft rubber circular gasket / membrane, with a fixed spring on the underside. The rubber has a big split in it, allowing oil to leak out when engine under pressure.
Nipped down to dealers today to order new part, only to be told that the part isn't sold separate, and I would have to purchase the whole cylinder head cover at £340.00
Mines a 2007 spec, so this problem might not have affected many newer landies.
If it's a well known problem can anybody give me the fix, if not anybody with suggestions to solving above problem.
Any help appreciated, ta.
No way am I paying £340.00 I'd rather use a heavy duty condom pulled over to stop leak

Yeah I think that's my best bet. Thanks for suggestion.
Would seem that I may be the first with this problem, I'll let the forum know how I get on sourcing one.
