Well... the Motul Gear 300 oil did improve the gearbox... whilst the weather was warmer
Now we're at zero this morning and second gear was almost impossible I know, I know - everyone has this problem but has anyone found a way to improve it? As the box is constant mesh, I suppose leaving the engine running (neutral with clutch engaged) might help by churning things up a bit (there goes another iceberg) - or am I barking? The other idea is an additive, such as Liqui Moly Getriebeoil-Additiv. Anyone got first-hand experience of additives in cold weather? It won't be long until we're at -10, -15 etc. so I'm trying to get prepared Cheers, Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. DGARDEL had good results with additives:

Yep - I also had CPL in the box until recently but have now re-filled with the Motul when I thought I might need to use the warranty (CPL is really obvious in the oil!). Now decided to live with the box until later date when I can prove to LR that it's crap but wondering what to do about cold-starting in the meantime...
