First problem is the jump start. You need a fully charged battery that the ECU feels all warm and cuddly with.....nothing wrong with the dash in all likelyhood! Get a new battery or recharge the old an install following the proccedures in the manual. The electrics in these vehicles are not like the old ones!

I'd also add leave the battery disconnected completely for half an hour too, then with battery completely removed touch the earth terminal to the live terminal as well.
That should drain absolutely all residual power and then once a good fully charged battery is back in and connected up you should be good to go |

Didn't try your fix due to taking ages for them to sell it! So the battery went flat, and they charged it.. All lights gone! Thanks guys looks like your diagnostics was spot on- I've got a lot more work on the horizon

In one of your rounds of buying stuff, get yourself a Land Rover diagnostics doodah. They can be a great help and don't have to cost the earth, basic ones start at about £100.
