Does anyone know, if there's any physical difference between the "early" (disc braked rear salisbury) and later "rover" type rear discs?
Early salisbury are FTC3846 and the later Rover type become LR018026.
Trying to work through the Mintex online catalogue (which shows "defenders" as old as 1980's having rear discs...... ) I take their part numbers with a pinch of salt, BUT... some discs are 12.7 mm thick, and the later ones 14.something mm, so maybe the later discs correlate with the wider calipers and thicker pads used on the Rover (and later, I think) salisbury
FWIW I'll probably be pulling the calipers off of my Salisbury (Which are the thinner pad type, thus the thinner calipers) so I suspect I've answered my own question in the need for the narrower FTC3846 disc.
