strange, I have an ICE edition with OEM LEDS as standard and not had any problems, so the dealers should be ok with LED lights as long as they have CE markings and not some nasty Chinese stuff from ebay

Hi Ken, I bought the lights from Tim, so I agree, excellent quality. I finally got the dealer to sort the land rover and arrived back in Poland after a 19 hour drive. Glad to say the land rover never missed a beat throughout the drive. Main issue for such a long drive (normally do it in 14 hours from Rotterdam) was the snow in the Netherlands and accidents on the motorway in Germany. So here is the bullet points of my experience with the dealer.
LED lights removed at dealers to prove a point. Imobiliser replaced, still not running. ECU replaced, not sure why as it showed no faults, still not running. Engine management unit (not sure what this is really) replaced, still not running. Dealer found air in fuel fuel pipe (rear), new fuel line ordered. Wrong fuel line arrived, wrong fuel line ordered, they ordered the front line by mistake. I paid extra to have the correct line sent sameday, did not arrive!?!? I told the dealer to repair the fuel line as I was not going to cancel my ferry crossing for the 3rd time. Land rover now running. My only printable comment I made to the dealer was about basic fault finding skills. John |
