I wouldn't like to say for sure. What Tracker do you have fitted??
Every sat nav I have owned with every car I have used them within usually show the car speed to be higher than the sat nav. I would assume the tracker would do the same (if it uses gps to calculate speed like a sat nav). What's it like at other speeds? |

I have always believed a stand alone sat nav would give you very accurate MPH readings. In all the cars I have used them in, the car speedo reads a tad higher than the sat nav as again I believed the speedo's were made to read a little higher than actual speed to compensate with slight inaccuracys as it's better to read higher than lower, less tickets that way! have your tyres all-ways been the size i.e. 205 80 16 and now 235 85 16 0r 7.50 16 as larger tyres will have affect on the calibration of your speeds

The wheels and tyres are as it left the factory. The tracker is Trackstar. It seems to be consistently high even at 30mph the breadcrumb is saying 34-35. Just noticed I've got a chipped windscreen - that didn't last long! Is the correct part no LR 042759?

Have you got or can you borrow a car GPS? Then you can get another data point.

I downloaded an app called GPS status and it showed the speedo to be accurate at various speeds. All good.
