Defender 90 TD5 2001 suspension sagging
I've noticed about a 3" height difference on the back end of my 90. The passenger rear is lower than the drivers side. I've looked at the springs and they seem OK, have the same amount of coils etc. Do Defenders sag with age? I was considering replacing the shocks and springs in the future but may need to bring the time line forward. Any suggestion on what I should go for. I'll only ever be on the road (no off roading) and won't be towing. It does wallowing when turning corners, again is this normal?

If you don't know the history of it, a fresh set of springs and dampers will solve your woes and improve the ride. If it wallows, the dampers will be goosed.
Look at LRI or even Urban for 'new take off' and save a few quid.
If you don't use it off road, a set of Alive Eibach springs will make it drive REALLY nice, but stick with standard dampers, their Bilstein offerings just stiffen it up a little. The Alive springs lower it by one inch, but I doubt you'll notice it compared to your old saggers Wink

IMO
Just replace with standard as they have obviously worn over time.

Whist one side is low at the mo I did want to retain the overall look of the Defender but wondered if the ride could be improved by swapping in new springs and shocks based on my "road only" driving. I can get adjustable shocks and perhaps adding new standard springs may be the way to go. The experience of others would be appreciated.
