Good single DIN units
Evening all,

I'm looking for a good single DIN unit for less than £200 the essentials are bluetooth, android integration, SD card and CD.

Does anyone have any ideas? Feel free to post photos and links Thumbs Up

Standard XS Alpine unit is very good and sensible. Bluetooth, USB, aux etc and looks the part.
No idea about android though, but it has usb/BT/hands free so can't really think what more it'd need.

It's the Alpine CDE-133BT, they come up on eBay quite a bit removed from new defenders. Cheers, David

The alpine unit is a good little unit, but why it isnt digital who knows!

There is a DAB variant of the factory-fitted Alpine - CDE-136BT

I have put the CDE-173BT (no DAB) in both 90s now.

Don't forget the LR fitted CDE-133BT is crippled compared to a aftermarket product, it cannot have its firmware updated to support Bluetooth audio control/data, for example.

For the money charged on eBay for a take-out LR original CDE-133BT you can find a new or very good secondhand higher-spec model.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I can vouch for the later Alpine units too. I can't remember exactly which model it was but was well under £200 and offered all the things you wanted apart from maybe SD card.

Pairs seamlessly with the phone for streaming music and making calls. Can't fault it.

I know it's not on your shopping list but well worth investing in a powered sub to go on the back of the cubby box. Kenwood sell one for about £120 and absolutely transforms the sound.

I've got an Alpine CDE-173BT & SXE-1025S speakers going in mine next week so hoping for good things, even though the head unit and speakers cost less £100 in total new Very Happy Rob
