Send them an email. Always found them to be super helpful, sure they could advise. Obviously not many owners of big, old, clunky, slow vehicles buy from them, so it's not always up to date with the vehicle search. But they will help... Monsieur Le Grenadier

In effect, they implied that the extra attention to detail they put into the valving of the rear shocks based on the user vehicle, was better than those of competitors with non adjusted systems as they believe the difference in rear axle weight was noticeable. Only makes sense, when you look at the difference between a 90 and 110. Don't necessarily think having four identical corners fitted with B6 is bad, just that it can be improved. Whether it is possible to make the adjustment once the B6 has left the factory or been fitted, I don't know. Monsieur Le Grenadier

So
Which of our sponsors or suppliers have a tuned B6? A couple say they are built to their specification but what does that mean. It is for sporty handling, weight, comfort? The above are questions I would like to hear about to help choose the right solution for me and of course other forum members |

Bowler have, albeit not a sponsor/supplier. They have done so in conjunction with Bilstein.
None of the others have as far as I'm aware. Some may have made mods in house I suppose, but Bowler have different ratings front and rear, 90 and 110 calculated with Bilstein themselves. But you do pay more... Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Is there any difference between the rear shocks on a 90 v8 and the later td5's or pumas?
They don't list the rear shocks for the earlier defenders in B6's only B4's, but they do list the fronts in B6's? I have emailed Demon tweeks but I am not sure if I will hear back from them before the offer ends? |

Top marks for Demon Tweeks, got a reply this mornign from them saying they do the B6 dampers for the older 90's.
Impressed with the speed of the reply given the size of the company! Messaged at 5pm last night and got a reply at 8:50 this morning |

Twisted do a progressive suspension set up that involves a custom valved B6 with Eibach progressive spring to their own spring rate. Alive have started doing a lowered progressive spring but unsure if they change the valving of the dampers as well.
Looking under a fast road pack Bowler a mate has, it was interesting to see two springs joined at the back to give it a progressive nature! Never seen that before! I have off the shelf B6's on my 90 and although a hard ride, it handles very well especially when being driven hard on the road. One of the biggest differences I feel is the steering damper as this take loads of absorption out of the road and over pot holes. Much more precise |
