Calling Recaro Owners
Hello,

I've bitten the bullet, scraped together the cash, and am going for a pair of Recaros in the new beast. Quick question, what brackets or sliders do the seat need to fit to the Defender or will the OE Defender slides suffice? Are there brackets, base plates etc? I'm not long in leg, so keen to keep them as close to original Puma seat height as possible.

Any advice welcome.

Ta Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Original brackets dependent on what Recaros you are actually going for as there are differing types? Detachable base etc. Mine came with them fitted, also depends where you are getting them from. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

don't get the tmd ones, powder coating was crap and they looked awful after a very short time of being in the car.. onbiously its a place that doesn't get damp / get knocked i dont know how there that bad.. Evil or Very Mad

i do have a second set but its just a faff to take the seats out to have them powder coated properly..

they can be quite fiddly to install..

Thanks K9F.

Going for the CS Sportster, but not the branded LR version.

In essence therefore, if I understand you correctly, they do require something to be attached. Either an LR version, or some from of bracket, whether or not supplied. I've seen them with Urban and they seem to come with a bracket, but with Sportseats4U they don't. You have to order separately. Think I'll stick with Urban. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

By second set I assume you mean rails or brackets, rather than CS seats? If, however, they're the seats, any plans to sell them? Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

err full second set, so seats brackets + seats + wiring kit... and nope there for another car which is the keeper..

its a weird black plate with 3 bolt holes in either side.. but the tmd one has turned nasty

Hi Luke, if you have a problem with the product rather than just slate them on line why not just give us a call or send us an email and we can get these rectified for you.

I seem to recall a few emails with attached photos when I purchased them detailing my displeasure at the quality of them?

Anyway I have rectified the problem myself now.
