lots have this issue and a small clunk relates to all the play in all the joints adding up, but it is not right mine was cured by replacing the gearbox to transfer box shaft DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Hi LR90XS2011, interesting! Was this repair carried out under warranty? How did you get them to acknowledge that there was a problem?
