1996 Defender 90 300 Tdi CSW Epsom Green

Puma Gear Box Noise

I have a 2014 Defender 110 Utility. When I change up through the gears there is a very noticeable "clunk"as I change up. Even more noticeable when the engine is hot. Two Land Rover dealers tell me this is "just the way it is, it's a Defender!" The thing is, my 20 year old 300 Tdi does not do this. Can anyone tell what is going on here?

lots have this issue and a small clunk relates to all the play in all the joints adding up, but it is not right mine was cured by replacing the gearbox to transfer box shaft DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Hi LR90XS2011, interesting! Was this repair carried out under warranty? How did you get them to acknowledge that there was a problem?
