Anybody more technical minded than me care to chime in;
If im to run the following auxiliary's Hertz HDP4, Hertz HDP1, Powering a big sub / all 4 speakers "HDP4 Consumption @ 2Ω, 14.4 VDC (Max Musical Power): 50 A" HDP1 "Consumption @ 2Ω, 14.4 VDC (Max Musical Power): 60 A" Lazer RS8 Lightbar - 6.2 Amps @ 14.4v Lazer T24 Lightbar -18.75 Amps @ 14.4v Might i need to uprated the electrical capabilities? I plan to purchase one of them boxes - forget the brand / name to wire everything fused |

Thanks for the input, I think it would be rare to have the lighting and the music on full blast without engine so I'm not too concerned about that; with engine running it should be fine?
Shouldn't damage / affect the other systems in the car? Any ideas on what them little wiring / Fuse boxes are and which is best? |

http://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/fuse-box-wit...2-way.html is what you are after, although you can go for the posh BlueSea one at about twice the price if you want. You'll then be able to put the circuits either on a permanent live, and just don't flatten your battery, or put some or all of them on an ignition fed relay feed. I suspect an Audiophile will turn up shortly.
I would be tempted to fit a dual battery system so that the power for the amp is smoother as you don't want it smeary in the midrange. It also means if you are drawing more than the vehicle can output (at the time) you could prevent your main battery from running low. From time to time I do use my radio to play music when I am sat near it, you will be surprised at how quickly the battery can run down with a DAB radio playing radio station music at half decent volume. If you look at YRM at the Aluminium Centre Seat Tool Box you should be able to fit the amps in there. Add some fins to the bottom for extra cooling. My Fuse box preference atm is Ebay but its only rated 25A on any one terminal. Most of my stuff has a low power draw. |

You'll be fine with that. I think the Alternator output is 150A.
Just bear in mind if you did short trips and used the Amps all the time it'd be taxing the battery a lot. But generally, you'd be completely fine just on the factory battery. I wouldn't suggest using it with out the motor running without the alternator generating current or it will draw current fast. That's not really likely anyway, and you could simply switch your Amp off if you needed too. Personally I've never wanted or needed to use mine other than when driving. Don't forget your HU draws probably circa 10 - 14A too amongst other bits and pieces. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

You could, but it'd likely be larger, then you may as well go dual instead.
My battery is at least 7 years old plus and going strong so I wouldn't worry. It might be a good idea though to replace for by now if you'd prefer. Luckily for us compared to the normal car, we have quite high CCA batteries with a relatively high alternator charging current. So lots of load is generally no problem. In the USA there is often "the big six" upgrade required because factory cabling and alternator upgrades are required just to run decent Amps etc. All of that can be quite costly, we don't have that issue at all unless you are going for mega power where you are talking into the 2kw rms w load or 120A load plus. There may be a slight upgrade of battery you can get but I'd hazard a guess the physical size would be bigger. And the LR battery is very very reliable and has its own breather as well.
