Exmoor retrim is pretty damn good. Just finished (this morning) reupholstering my 110 seats in black XS. Excellent products, worth a look in my opinion.

So your suggesting to keep what I have and just recover them instead of replacing?

There's always a set of newish XS heated seats floating around on here for around £500.
Mixed experiences with Exmoor if you search the forum..... ![]() |

Yes, if your foam is good reuse it and re-cover. If its worn and saggy get new foam. It really transforms the seats. Personally I find the Defender seats surprisingly comfy. Heated seat elements, wiring and switches are available on Fleabay for a pittance. Installed mine in a hour last year. Retrim and seat heaters for less than half the cost of new or used replacement seats. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

![]() ![]() Are you up for having a go yourself? There are plenty of DIY retrimming options available from the above and likewise there are many videos showing you how to do it. To be honest, I think a newly retrimmed set of techno seats look spot on and in some ways far more fitting than the XS half leather (which I have). If I were you I'd retrim with techno, retrofit the heater elements and invest in the best foam you can. I'd then get a high quality set of waterproof covers for when you're down and dirty. All other times I'd show off your spanking techno seats! ![]() |

Yeah I've seen the example threads etc. My other issue with keeping the same seats is the backs of them only just come upto my shoulder blades. Now I'm not a giant but they sure don't give me any levels of comfort

I put Saab 900 leather seats in my SIII, highback super supportive, lumbar adjustments, heated just welde the Defender Sliders to the bottom. They were made by Recaro for Saab. Good fit and great comfort. Picked them up from my Saab mechanic for $100 Cdn. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

I've done an Exmoor retrim on my driver's seat which was easy enough.
Customer service from Exmoor was pretty terrible though. The kit arrived *eventually* with loads of phone calls form me. |

I've actually seen people say better things about the britpart retrim kit than the exmoore one. My plan is a britpart retrim plus waeco heated mats.
