Welcome aboard Ken.
I have a 2012, 110wagon, 2.2 and tow a Tvan so only @1500Kg but about the same ball weight. We are just out of Melbourne so ambient temperatures are lower but we have no issues with the concerns you raised. We did Lake Ayer last year with no heat issues(the centre floor pan area does get hot as all the Puma's do). Mine sits happily at full speed, often catching the duel cab set towing fold out campers who hate being overtaken by a Defender towing. I have thought about putting in a larger intercooler in to help reduce intake temperatures. Bell Auto Services(see the sponsor link above) do a power upgrade which is getting good reviews on AULRO. Cheers, Kyle. |

Thanks for the great reply Kyle.
I have read about BEL in the UK, their uprated intercooler and also the option of having the cars ECU reflashed by them. I have bookmarked their services for future reference. Thanks again Kyle and best wishes mate. Ken |

Yes, second that, looks good. Although I curse my 2.4 110 at times it tows our van really well especially since getting a BAS remap. Haven't done anything else for extra go but did lag the exhaust which I'm sure has cut down on cabin heat.
Have fun travelling. AlanH. |

When touring in the Pyrenees some years ago in a 90 Td the transmission tunnel would get very warm at times which was handy for drying the socks 2005 Td5 90 XS
