I'm trying to remove the roof lining inside my 90 which I need to refit once covered in alcantare but I cant seem to remove the fir tree clips?
I purchased PANEL TRIM CLIP REMOVAL PLIERS & UPHOLSTERY REMOVER PRY BAR TOOL below: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-DOOR-CARD-PA...1731600808 which I thought would be the correct tools for the job? All I seem to be able to do with them is break the heads off the clips just after I've dug holes in the headlining..... Any advice on how to remove the aforementioned clips would be gratefully appreciated 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... The better I was! |

Just take the remnants of one with you. Shouldn't need longer ones as the bracing they go onto is nearly an 25mm thick

I use a claw hammer and a thick piece of card, wiggle claw of the hammer under the head of fir tree, place thick cardboard under hammer head so as not to damage headlining and just lever them out, simples! For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
