The TD5 has a ODB socket, but it's not ODBII compatible;

See thread;

I bought a Nanocom for mine and it does what I need it to.

No it is not, Nanocom or another less expensive scanner like iCarsoft 930 will do what you need. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)
2003 Range Rover Mk III (Desmond FitzWilliam)
2000 Defender 110 CSW TD5 (CTX)
1992 Range Rover Classic (Lizzy)
1972 Series III 300 Tdi (Stanwood)
1967 MGB GT

If you are looking for good working diag for TD5, than you can choose Nanocom or Hawkeye. These work OK. 930 is not good enough. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

I use the X431, it can do some basic jobs, I use it to scan the system and deleted the ABS code!
its work but not as good as Nanocom, but its cheap! Mr. Green
