I think you'd be better off on the rolexforum or TURF, assuming you aren't already.....

i'd try a reputable second hand seller, not even funny the amount of fakes there are around... you will struggle to get a sport model for that budget
if you find one and its a bit battered, its not the end of the world.. a service and they come back looking like brand new; dropped off a daytona 3 weeks ago, the watch service cost more than my last main dealer LR service. |

I am selling this. I know it is quite a bit above the price range you mentioned but worth a try anyway

Agree with you regarding the number of fakes - some are so obvious they provide a laugh, others deliver a severe shock when taken in for a service. Even when you have the genuine article on your wrist, many observers assume it's a fake picked up on a holiday to the Far East. |

i've been told my watches are fake numerous times tend to just agree with them most of the time rather than take them off my wrist like there probably hoping for..
most people don't have a clue to be honest. If your not set on a rolex, i bought this a year or 2 ago to be a 'gym / sports watch' but have rarely worn it 5-10 times max?bought it to scratch the itch of having a black watch.. would part ways if you are interested? boxed receipts full paperwork etc. keep it wound.
