London emission zone?
Anybody know if my Landy,2002 TD5, meets required 'standards' to be able to continue using it come 2012?
Have checked reg no. in TFL checker only to get vehicle not found response....getting a bit paranoid now!
cheers for any info...

2002 model year Td5s were updated to Euro 3, not 4. There's no Euro 4 Td5, there's the mountain lion instead.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Grovel, should have been EuroIII in my post. Either way, engines built post 10/2001 are good for LEZ and earlier ones.... are Big Cry

Interesting...have just read that it is the vehicles classification that counts rather than emissions...if designated as 'estate' then exempt, but if 'light utility 4x4' not so! How can that possibly be so? A TD5 is a TD5 is it not? regardless of body type surely (provided like for like year obviously)

LEZ only a problem for commercial vehicles. If your Landy isn't a commercial, all good. If it is, it had better have a post 10/01 engine Thumbs Up

And trying to get DVLA to reclassify a hard-top that's been converted..... Laughing

Had assumed as you were asking that yours was a commercial (according to dvla).

So I presume that a 10my 130 commercial would fall into this criteria yes?

I just checked my Defender and quote

Not Subject to LEZ
According to our records this vehicle is not
subject to the Low Emission Zone and is
not required to meet the Low Emission
Zone standards this time.

You can check your vehicle here

Yup Andrew, your 130 and my 90 truck cab are fine as, while they are commercials, their engines meet the emissions requirements so don't breach the requirements of the LEZ.

If they were pre Euro3 compliant they would be banned/fined £200 per day.

All good! Just spoken to them and year/euro 3 means will be exempt, reason for not finding truck on the reg checker was nothing more than previous owner only just taking off his private plate so records not yet updated...happy days.
