Post Turbo Strip on 2.4 Puma
Hi,

I have had to strip the turbo on my 2.4 due to the vanes being seized solid. I've left the turbo on the vehicle and stripped it back as far as the vane arms / ring.
It looks like I'll have to take that assembly out too as a couple of the vanes are still solid. I'm hoping that it can be cleaned up and put back together.
My question is, once it's been put back together, will it have to be set up at all? My thinking being that there might be a slight difference between the relationship of the vanes and the actuator.
I marked pretty accurately where everything went so I'm hoping it should be pretty much as it was.

Has anyone done this or have an idea if further set up is needed

Thanks

Dave

I think it would be a very good idea to drop someone like turbo technics a line and ask them for advice. They are the unit that LR use and afaik also developed a lot of the hybrid turbos for the likes of allisport, bas and irb. I am sure they will assist.
