Puma 500Amp Mega Fuse
So a while ago I thought I had all the right spare fuses for my Puma....

So this weekend I browsed through the spares catalogue and found that I missed the following spare fuse:

500 Amp Fuse on the battery + side

Here is a picture of this fuse next to a AA Battery for scale

Hi Albrie,

Thanks for sharing this info.
As I'm struggling with the starter battery going flat after some time I just had this fuse in my hands while disconnecting the battery terminals Wink. Peter,

What's this fuse for? Is it there to protect ecu or similar? Do all pumas have it?

Lastly can it be removed? Cheers

As far as I'm aware it's a master fuse to protect everything from the positive battery terminal. Especially the starter system etc and always live components and wiring.

I know some of the trucks we have use a mega fuse in the slave cable running from the NATO socket to the batteries, it's is fitted to protect the ecus of a reverse current is put down the cable, it does happen and they do work. So it might be similar to that. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html
