Is it just me then? I am not stuck on originality for originality's sake but the new wheels look too spindly and the lower profile tyre looks out of place. The silver 16" alloy with taller tyre looks much more robust and fit-for-purpose on a land rover and would be my choice every time..... (I also think the contrast of the silver wheel looks great on your car and that is coming from a died-in-the-wool hand painted black steel wheel person!)

No, it's definitely not just you!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I like Old School too and I didn't like 18s when they first became popular but the look has really grown on me and and I fancied a change. So far I've had the old girl on original LWB steels, Modulars, Deep Dish alloys and now the 18 inchers, so its fair to say nothing is permanent on my truck.

But on a new chassis and bulkhead, metallic respray and half leather interior i think I shot the bolt on originality a long time ago anyway Laughing Laughing Laughing Fully Restored 89 110 CSW V8

I think 18s look right on 110s and 16s look right on 90s Ray
