I used one of these for diffs, xfer and gear box and it made the job very easy. Did everything from under the car and no need to remove any panels or anything else.

Thanks for the recommendation Simon. I bought one and changed gearbox, transfer box & diff oils today. Certainly made it easy and remarkable value for money.

Excellent piece of kit!
I have used one of these for years to do oil changes on the engine in my yacht. The oil drain plug on yachts is often inaccessible due to the engine location so the tube goes down the dipstick filler pipe and hey presto, you can pump the old oil out! There is a nice version in brass too! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

I was skeptical of this idea initially but eventually bit the bullet and tried it and saw the light!
Pop down to B&Q or order off eBay but get a pressurised garden sprayer. I was in a rush to finish the oil change on the 6HP26X in the Range Rover and got one of these. Pop the oil in, pump it up, point hose into hole and pull trigger. I haven't yet tried it with EP90 but done other oils and it's worked superbly. A little painful to clean but no more than other transfer pumps I've tried with multiple oils. For even simpler operation you can replace the trigger and hose with ball valves and flexible hoses to make access even easier. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |

I brought a 5litre pressurized and have done for the last two years. Cost me £8.99, took off the spray nozzle and used that.
Makes the job easy. |
